Job Title: Deputy Head Teacher
Deliverance Church International Kasarani (Zimmerman) is looking for a Deputy Head teacher for its education ministry department, Cornerstone Academy and Junior School.
Job Purpose
Reporting to Head Teacher he/she will be in charge of the Cornerstone Academy and assist in the administration, development and implementation of the curriculum, policies and programs. In absence of the Head Teacher, the Deputy Head Teacher will be in charge of the Academy and the Junior School as may be directed.
Requirements for the Job
- Have atleast a P1 certificate and / or above with experience of at least 3 years in a leadership position and TSC registered.
- Must have 3 to 5 years’ experience in a school of similar size of cornerstone academy,
- Must demonstrate having taken personal initiatives towards career progression
- Must demonstrate a clear understanding of the education reforms and the competence-based curriculum (CBC) and its implementation guidelines
- Must have satisfactory/above average in the performance appraisal rating in the last two (2) years
- Must have demonstrated/ demonstrate ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers and other support staff
- Be flexible and adaptable to change
- Demonstrate awareness/understanding of the Church/School values and national values
- Must demonstrate capability to use Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Having served as a Senior Teacher will be an added advantage.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensuring high standards of discipline and coordination among teachers and students
- Teaching designated subjects.
- Developing and improving the school learning environment.
- Helping assess students’ needs and development.
- Providing guidance to resolve challenges and conflicts for teachers and students.
- Using data to track students’ performance and produce reports.
- Be responsible for promoting the ethos, goals and values of the school and ensuring effective communication with designated stakeholders.
- Observing and advancing teaching and learning systems and methods.
- Maintaining good rapport with parents as a form of good customer care service.
- Working hand in hand with the office of the head teacher in the running of the school

Job Title: Caterer
Deliverance Church International Kasarani (Zimmerman) is seeking to employ a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Caterer/ Cateress. The successful candidate will play an important role of planning menus, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring the provision of high-quality meals for the Church, School (Cornerstone Academy and Junior School) pupils, School and Church staff. This middle level management position requires an individual with excellent Leadership, organizational and communication skills, a high level of integrity, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive menus that meet the nutritional needs of pupils and all the staff the school and Church
- Oversee the entire food preparation process, ensuring quality from input apportioning and costing to final presentation and serving.
- Provide high-quality meals in accordance with the school/church menu.
- Design various menus for buffet meals and cocktails during special church occasions and events
- Schedule and delegate duties to kitchen staff effectively.
- Ensure proper handling and continuous safety, maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Ensure cost cutting measures through effective controls to reduce wastage and pilferage of food stuff
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Implement and enforce hygiene protocols among kitchen staff.
- Foster and maintain good working relations with all stakeholders (staff,teachers, pupils and suppliers)
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of the catering services.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- A Diploma in Catering Services or Food and Beverage Production or equivalent from a recognized institution in Kenya.
- At least a C Plain at KCSE
- Must be proficient in computer skills.
- Extensive on job experience of at least 3 years in a busy related institution
- Valid Good Conduct and Food Handlers Certificate
