Deliverance Church International Kasarani (Zimmerman) is looking for a Deputy Head
teacher for its education ministry department, Cornerstone Academy and Junior School.

Job Purpose
Reporting to Head Teacher he /she will be in charge of the Junior School and assist in the
administration, development and implementation of the curriculum, policies and programs.
In absence of the Head Teacher, the Deputy Head Teacher will be in charge of the Academy and
the Junior School as may be directed.

Requirements for the Job

1. Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education
2. Well conversant with educational reforms.
3. Must have demonstrated/ demonstrate ability to supervise, mentor and provide
   professional support to other teachers and other support staff.
4. Be flexible and adaptable to change.
5. Demonstrate awareness/understanding of the Church / School and national values.
6. IT compliant in Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Excel.
7. Must be registered by TSC.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Ensuring high standards of discipline and coordination among teachers and students.
2. Teaching designated subjects.
3. Developing and improving the school learning environment.
4. Helping assess students’ needs and development.
5. Providing guidance to resolve challenges and conflicts for teachers and students.
6. Using data to track students’ performance and produce reports.
7. Be responsible for promoting the ethos, goals and values of the school and ensuring
   effective communication with designated stakeholders.
8. Observing and advancing teaching and learning systems and methods.
9. Maintaining good rapport with parents as a form of good customer care service.
10. Working hand in hand with the office of the head teacher in the running of the school.
11. Experience of having served as a senior teacher will be an added advantage.
